A SUNNY ESCAPE

Tired of the cold and grey days and in the mood for some good tapas, coffee in the sun and to wear a light jacket? Then Barcelona is the perfect choice!

This beautiful and vibrant city in Spain is the perfect place for good food, art, beach, shopping and fun nightlife for a spring getaway!

Our founder Jacqueline lived and studied in Barcelona for 4 years and recently went back with Klemens to escape the cold and gives us some tips on what to do, where to go and very important, what to wear!

Follow along our Barcelona story for some inspiration.

Starting the day full of energy and excitement to discover the city, wearing something comfortable for all the long walks is key. The metro is very good and well connected in Barcelona but if you're not in a hurry we prefer to walk. It's the best way to discover and find places you might not find otherwise.

Our jumpsuits are great for city trips, comfortable and easy for the whole day, wear with your favourite sneakers for the day and dress up with boots and a some nice earrings or lipstick for the night and you're good to go!

Walk up to Gràcia, a more quiet and local neighbourhood filled with little shops, cute restaurants and sunny placas. It's calm and not so crowded, so a perfect start for the trip to wander around. We like Placa de la Virreina for a coffee in the sun, and El café del teatre close by for a little lunch or cocktails in the evening.

Walk down from Gràcia via Passeig de Gràcia and you will pass by Casa Milà and Casa Battló, both designed by Gaudí, the famous catalán modernist architect who is also behind La Sagrada familia and Park güell. The structures are beautiful and definitely worth visiting.

Continue walking all the way towards the sea and you will find Barceloneta, a long beach just next to the city. It's always full energy, lots of restaurants, perfect for beach days in summer and to chill and enjoy the sun in spring.

To stay extra cozy for a chill beach evening we brought The Stone Grey Sweater  and The Straight Blue Jeans, oversized and cozy just how we like it!

When sun is down walk up again to El Born, a central area with narrow streets filled with boutiques, restaurants and bars for some nice tapas and wine.

Time for a new day, new adventures and more café con leches! Time to discover more of the central and medieval area Ciutat Vella which consists of El Born, El Raval and Barrio Gotico, all quite crowded and touristic but so beautiful with the narrow streets, high old houses and the sunlight slipping through. We walk around the whole day visiting little boutiques, stopping for some patatas bravas, jamon iberico and a cold beer in one of the sunny spots. Ending the night in either El Raval or El Born.

For a full day of wandering around the city we love a good leather jacket and jeans, simple and comfortable and always works! Finish the look with our jewellery and you have a perfect casual city look.

Another of our favourite looks for a city trip in spring is full denim! Our denim jackets are perfect all-rounder jackets that work with mostly anything you might bring with you. Wear it with your favourite dress or with our new black straight jeans for a full and comfy denim look.

After two days of walking around the city visiting boutiques and eating good food it's time to see something else. Go to Parc de Ciutadella to relax, walk around and bring some food to have a picnic, after that go to Park güell, a park up on the mountain with a beautiful view over the city with incredible gardens and architectural elements by Gaudi, if you have some extra time it's fun to go up and see it, specially the view over the city. If you're not so much into architecture and more of a food lover, go to La Boqueria, a big food market by La Rambla where they sell fresh vegetables, fruits, seafood etc, but you can also have some tapas and wine and enjoy the vibrant market!
